Case Study

Background
A well-known worldwide organization with branches in over 80 countries was planning to hold a major event in Beijing, China. The organizer wanted to give seven hundreds of participants a once-in-a-lifetime experience and planned to secure few high profile venues during the event. Some exclusive social events were planned including: a cocktail on the TianAnMen Rostrum, opening dinner party in the Forbidden City , a dinner party at the foothill of the Great Wall, and a celebration dinner at the Great Hall of People with dishes served only for presidents of visiting foreign countries. The challenges were that the event was held in a time that security level was high, especially for these venues, and no local companies had confidence to secure them and were willing to be the sponsor. The organizer believed that it was a must to have these key venues in order to bring a high quality of event to participants.

Analysis and Teamwork
We were asked to help to solve the puzzle. We analyzed the need of the event, and met with decision makers of all venues through our business and social network and explained to them the value of the event and risk control methods. We finally secured all venues for the event.

Result
The event became the best of such events ever held in the half-century history of the organization and won the Best of the Best Award.
